Mastermaquette, group exhibition, Verbeke Foundation, Kemzeke


A project in collaboration with Nadia Naveau for master students. Nadia Naveau is a sculptor and guest professor sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. The workshop and exhibition was held at the Verbeke Foundation, Kemzeke.

"Letter to the area" is an installation where I write a letter for the space. I try to understand the space to convert it in words. When you have been in the spaces at Verbeke Foundation than you know that the environment is not what you expect, but rather strange. The result is not about the written words but about the suggestion of it. The film shows how the letter "marks" are written by myself on a transparent object in space somewhere in time. The film is projected on the exhibition floor at the point where it was made.
